
Paul Angas is a professional drummer based in Adelaide, South Australia, known for his feel and sensitivity in a wide range of musical situations.
Currently Paul regularly plays for Jen Lush, Kelly Menhennet, Spiral Dance, Wren & the Restless Few, Steve Lennox & The Keepers, Baker Boys Band, and Trifle.
Paul started playing drums and piano at an early age and is now an accomplished drummer/percussionist. With over thirty years of professional musical experience, Paul has played in bands of many styles, ranging from rock, jazz, and folk to concert band and orchestral.
After studying jazz at the University of Adelaide, Paul joined the Australian Army Band (Adelaide), starting a 20-year musical career in the Defence Force, culminating in joining the Air Force Band in Melbourne, with which he performed around Australia and the world.

Paul has been a successful freelance drummer in original and cover bands in Melbourne and Adelaide. Popular Melbourne bands he has played in include The Kissingers, Zeptepi and The Grand Wazoo. Artists Paul has played with include Ross Wilson, Anthony Callea, Jon Stevens, Deborah Conway, Darryl Cotton, Wilbur Wilde, Jeff Duff, Leo Sayer, Mahalia Barnes, John Montesante Quartet, Nichaud Fitzgibbon, Fem Belling, Ian Stenlake, Paul Williamson, Rhonda Birchmore, Samantha Sang, Rebecca Barnard, Jane Clifton, Chris Harold, Cairo Club Orchestra, All Soul’d Out, The Gathering Tide, Cat Dog Bird, Spiral Dance, The Heggarties, Black Swans of Trespass, Jadida, and Andrea Marr & the Funky Hitmen.

On returning to Adelaide Paul has become involved with several bands and solo performers. He is becoming more in demand as a recording drummer, recording with several Adelaide artists this year alone.
At his home studio, Satchel Studio, Paul records drums, composes and records soundtrack music.
Paul also runs a private drums and piano school.
